INVESTIGATING THE EFFECT OF COLD TEMPERATURE STRESS ON UNOPENED MALE CATKINS AND INOCULATED FEMALE FLOWERS OF IRANIAN NATIVE HAZELNUT CULTIVARS
In many low-temperature areas, the environmental factor is an important limiting factor for the production and distribution of horticultural plants. This study aimed to investigate the cold tolerance of the male catkins and inoculated female flowers to screen the popular native hazelnut cultivars in Qazvin under low-temperature stress. A completely randomized factorial block design with three replications was used in this experiment with eight cultivars (Nakhnroud, Khandan, Mish-Pestan, South of Qarabagh, Asl-e-Qarabagh, Rasmi, and Gerdashkevar). After removing each of the treated samples at the end of the experiment, the samples were examined morphologically (appearance) and compared with the control. The changes were recorded as qualitative traits. To understand the influence of cold stress on reproductive organs, hydrogen peroxide and proline were measured. The results showed the onset of freezing in unopened male catkins at -7 and -9 °C and in inoculated female flowers at -3 °C. Damage to unopened male catkins' tissue occurred at -11 °C and in female flowers at -5 °C. The highest value observed among cultivars in the case for proline content of male catkins was in Mish-Pestan and Khandan cultivars with 0.816 and 0.660 µmol/ g FW, respectively. In inoculated female flowers, Mish-Pestan and Tabestaneh cultivars with 0.185 and 0.168 µmol/ g FW, respectively, showed the highest statistically significantincrease in proline content. Interestingly, the cultivars with the highest proline content in male catkins indicated the most increase in H2O2; Mish-Pestan and Khnadan with 0.569 and 0.541 ug/g FW, respectively. Asl-eQarabagh was observed to have the least H2O2 content (0.042 ug/g FW) among cultivars. Again, in inoculated female flowers, those with the highest concentration of proline (Mish-Pestan and Tabestaneh) were found to have the highest H2O2 content (0.335 and 0.331 ug/g FW, respectively

The presented article describes the soil types existing in east Georgia, particularly in several villages of Gurjaani Municipality-Vazisubani, Kalauri, Mukuzani, Shashiani. Meadow-brown and brown soils represent good soil types for viticulture development in Kakheti. The vineyards cultivated on these soils produce such wellknown wines as Tsinandali, Vazisubani, Mukuzani, Akhasheni, Gurjaani, Manavi. The study explores brown carbonate and meadow-brown soil lab tests to examine the absorption of phosphate ions by them. The study showed that the amount of phosphorus deposited through soils is sufficiently absorbed under various conditions, having a positive effect on the amount of crop. Was compared the rates of phosphate absorption in these soils with the efficiency of phosphorus fertilizers, which showed that the higher the absorption of phosphorus, the lower the amount of phosphorus available to the plant and the lower the yield, and the lower the strength of phosphorus retention, the higher the amount of phosphorus to be consumed by the plant and the higher the yield. But under the conditions of high cultivation degree, the strength of phosphorus absorption became weak, resulted in a large amount of exchangeable and movable phosphates already existing in the soil, which is available to the plant. So, the efficacy of phosphorus fertilizers on such soil is weak. The speed of phosphorus absorption in the soil of Gurjaani municipality villages is satisfactory. However, in case of a high degree of cultivation (or in case of excess fertilization), the degree of phosphorus retention decreases. Accordingly, phosphorus-containing fertilizers should be used within strictly controlled limits.

She has also established world-class laboratories in collaboration with the automotive sector, fostering innovation and startups in the electronics manufacturing domain. Discussions: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology plays a significant role in initiating innovations and startups in the electronics manufacturing domain. They have generated a separate vertical for startups, which poses challenges to innovators. If a solution is validated, the ministry handholds the innovators, incubates their ideas, funds them, and helps them reach the market at the national and international levels. Conclusions: Dr. Bhavna's vision and efforts toward fostering an ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship within the institute and beyond are commendable. Her experience and achievements in various leadership roles, including as the head of the department and president of the institutions innovation council, have added significant value to her professional and personal life.
