The Manuscript Sketch Tool
Script version 0.1

The Manuscript Sketch Tool is an online tool developed to assist researchers and authors in the initial preparation of their scientific manuscripts. This tool provides a standardized basic structure for creating academic articles, following a format generally accepted by the scientific community.

The tool works as an interactive guide, where the author fills in specific fields such as title, author information, structured abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions, among other important sections. Each section has character limits and contextual tips to guide the author about the type of content expected.

An important feature is its flexibility: after generating and downloading the document in .doc format, authors have complete freedom to make any necessary modifications, such as:

  • Adjusting section names according to specific journal requirements
  • Adding or removing subsections
  • Modifying formatting
  • Including figures, tables, and other visual elements
  • Expanding content beyond initial limits
  • Customizing citation and reference styles

In essence, the Manuscript Sketch Tool serves as a structured starting point for scientific writing, not as a rigid and definitive format. It is especially useful for beginning researchers or for those who want an organized foundation to start writing their articles.

Please fill in the boxes below to prepare a manuscript. It is almost as easy as 1, 2, and 3!
